Is Global Warming Real?

I chose an article called, "Is Global Warming Real?" from National Geographic. This article explains about how the temperature change is affecting the climates around the world. The author indicates some of the reasons why the temperature is rising, such as the greenhouse gases and some particles from the volcano. I chose to read about this topic because I've studied about how the greenhouse gases are affecting the environment in the world during my biology class. I was also interested to read the articles from National Geographic since I liked how it focuses on the natures of the world.

But just like how the author mentioned in the article, the debate still continues. Different people believe different facts that could be the possible reason for the global warming. The author of the article didn't specify the reasons for the global warming, just the evidences that the places on earth are warming up. I can agree to the author's explanation about how greenhouse gases and natural phenomenon are the causes of the temperature change. Some others might believe that these changes are just happening naturally since the earth went through many environmental changes since billions of years ago like the Ice Age. They might say, "If there was a time when the earth was cold, there should be a time when the earth was warm." I don't really agree to this idea because there is no evidence that the Ice Age and other events have caused the global warming. But I can also agree to the fact that greenhouse gases are causing the global warming because humans have invented advanced technologies, like cars, that required the release of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
