Emma- Personal Narrative Cason- Dialogue

Dialogue

"Hey", said Tom. "Sup", Andy replied back. "How was your party last night?", Tom said as he grabbed a bag of family size chips. "Good night", said Andy. As soon as Tom heard him say "Good night", he made a facial expression with an anger. "Dude, what the heck?", he said. "I was just asking how your night went and you finished our conversation. What's wrong with you? I didn't know you were trying to be mean to me even though I didn't do anything rude to you." Then Andy made a different facial expression with a confusion, "Why are you mad? All I did was answering your question. Calm down." Tom replied, "No you didn't, you said good night. You probably tried to end our conversation because you hated me."      Andy was wondering why Tom got mad for a simple question. Then Andy went through his voice to try to clear out his misunderstanding. "No! That's not what I meant by

Update to my personal narrative

My first personal narrative draft started pretty rough because I was so confused on choosing the right font for the words. I knew I was supposed to use New Times Roman but when I tried to click to choose the font, I saw two different "New Times Roman". I asked my friends to see the difference between those two but they said they don't know because they don't have that problem. The other issue that I had was to change the paragraph. The story that I was writing about connected everything into one big story that I didn't know where to split the story.      After I finish writing the first draft, the simplest word to describe my personal narrative essay is hard. I thought I was able to fix my context after I finish writing the whole draft but it wasn't as easy as I think it was. I had no idea how to make my sentence fluency or word choice better enough for the readers to feel more exciting to read. I also forgot to highlight the word or the sentence which

Austin- Dear 13 Year Old Logan-The Revenge of Seven

Dear 11-year-old

Dear 11 year old, focus on your work. I know some things can be a bit hard since you just started middle school but your achievements on your academic work in middle school helps a lot in the future. Things that you will be doing in the next three years will be an advanced version of what you will be doing right now which will be the the basic understandings. You should have worked a lot harder on your English assignments more than other subjects. You were able to get a better grade than what you got.  Things you will be doing in the next three years might be tough or easy for you. There will be some things that will make you feel devastated and some things that will make you feel elated. These emotions can change depends on how you react to it. Don't let anybody make you do something that you do not want to do it. You will definitely regret of you have done in the next week or so.

Reading Response from "Lost and Found"

When I first read "Lost and Found" from "How To Write Anything", I thought I was on the wrong page because I didn't know that it could be like a comic book. It was a challenging thing to read this narrative for me because I kept focusing on the picture rather than the words that are on the pages. I noticed that the writer of Lost and Found was writing like they were talking before writing which sounds like one of my friends are talking to the reader. I liked the fact that the reader was using some fancy words like baffled, or crypt. These words makes the narrative funnier and easy-to-read for the readers.  I also focused on the writing techniques that we have been studying for the couple days. As I mentioned earlier in the last paragraph, I liked the sentence structure and the word choice that the reader used. The other thing is the comparison technique that comes at the end. The comparison techniques really help when I am not sure what the reader is talkin

Response to September 11th article by History.com

According to the article about September 11th, it was one of the disastrous thing that happened in the beginning of the 21st century. One of the most surprising thing that I realized as I read this article was that it kept mentioning the number of people who died because of the four planes. It also showed what kind of people who died. Even the police and firefighters who supported the building passed away. The group that planned this plane hijack was from Saudi Arabia. Even though they knew that they will lose their lives because they hijacked a plane, they still decided to take an action.      I have seen plenty of information about the terrorists that planned for the hijack, or the Al-Qaedas. It seemed like some of the terrorists had a feud toward the United States by the fact that they were taking commercial flight lessons to be ready for this act. When this tragedy happened, I was not yet born but this topic comes up every year as the date gets closer to September 11th whic

Response to my book

The book I'm currently reading is called, "Fall Out". I first chose to read this book because I really liked the gap between a comical picture on the front cover and the information about this book on its back cover that makes you feel nervous. This story was from the summer of 1962, a place where the nuclear bomb was dropped. Then they started to think that they all might be dead because of it. The main characters are Scott and some other friends. The worst thing was that his house was the only house with the shelter which made them make a hard decision. As I mentioned above, I couldn't imagine reading something historical and warlike out of a book that makes us think that it might be about realistic fiction.  The other thing that was unique about thing book was that people rushed in to his house that was only for four people. They also ate the food they had that was for four of the people in his family. I've heard that people had multiple shelters undergroun
