Zoe -human nature? Emma- What has EHS been like since the start until now?

Why do people start to be in a globalized community?

I've been interacting with many people in the world since when I was in seventh grade. The method is quite simple. I've been to several countries and tried to have a communication with them even if they don't understand what I'm saying. Sometimes when I go to a place like Turkey, almost everyone spoke Turkish but only few people there were able to speak English. When I face a situation like that, I tend to think about how to talk to them without speaking their language. For example, I sometimes use body language. I first felt sort of ashamed or embarrassed that I don't speak their language, but I realized that it happens often in many large cities in the world.      I started doing this because I was thinking of doing something interesting in the summer that is both fun and helpful. Then I realized that my life was all about international communications. When I was in Los Angeles, I met people from different countries around the world but I thought I wasn&#

Human nature

I think humans change their behavior based on the situation. They can be loving, caring, irritating, and crying. We all show our appreciations and kindness toward someone who help or support us. We also do something aggressive like fighting and ignoring to people who are annoying and rude to us. We don't really stick to one single emotion for a long time because we face different situations and try to react to the events that are happening there. That tells that humans can do multiple things by themselves.      I've have some situations that led me to get this idea. I tried to be nice to someone who cared me when I was in sixth grade. I told her that I have hard time catching up with my reading for English and she helped me explain some of the important events in the book. But I got aggressive to someone who was being rude and annoying to me in seventh grade when he started calling me names.

Reading Response to A&P

What I liked about this short story was the fact that Sammy is a disrespectful person toward women in the story. He called them the animals and the bees buzzing in a jar. He's also impulsive by the conversation at the end of the story. You can only guess that he was a rude character in this story and I thought that too. I thought Sammy was supposed to a mean character throughout this story.  But he wasn't always a person with bad things. He stood up to defend women. He was also noble because he seemed that's fatal if not to go through once started. He changed as the time went by. He didn't stay as a mean character. I found out that he was sort of round according to the character traits that we studies during class. I thought that looking closely at a character was an important thing when you are reading a short story.

Fall break free post

I went to Sean's house during fall break to hang out with him. I first went to his house to plan what we are going to do. He decided to dance before his mom comes to pick us up because he likes to dance alone. Then he brought a large speaker that connects with my phone so he can dance. After thirty minutes he got tired so he decided to watch some videos on the couch. We watched some funny videos of people doing a lot of strange things and laughed. We had so much fun.  After Grace and her mom came, we decided to go the movie theater with them. We got on her mom's car and met Muskaan. We were about to watch a movie but the employee told us not to watch it because it was very scary. We were all sad including me because I was so excited to see it. So we decided to see a different movie called Flatliners. I thought it was going to be boring because Sean told me that it as not good. But after we watched that movie, I really enjoyed it because it was futuristic like Harrison Berger

Charlie-The Hope at D'Agostino Brothers Naya-Response to Da-Duh Memorian

A Flash Story

The day has come. I was so ready to go on to another journey. That morning air smelled like a refreshing green leaf. I ran out of the house to head to the airport. I then walked slowly through a door-like machine with a space in the middle. My seat was on the edge where I can see some people guiding other groups for their safe journey. Once I got on my seat, I was already heading toward my destination. After several of dream, I woke up with a sound of people talking. My trip was about to start. I got out of my room and felt the air. It was far more clean than I thought. The sky was already dark, so my first impression about the view was the view of the lights of the buildings like you see in New York City. All I did that night was to go to the popular district to grab some treats for myself and quickly went toward the hotel.

Reading Response to "Harrison Bergeron"

Harrison Bergeron is about a story the family of three important characters: Harrison, George, and Hazel. George has an issue in his ears, or a handicap. Everyone in the society is smarter than Hazel but to keep it equal, the "average" goes down to Hazel's level. So technically Hazel is "average". Harrison is the weirdest out of these characters because of his appearance. Although he is only fourteen, he is very tall and smart. But he was thrown into jail for suspicion of plotting to overthrow the government. Now the questions that come up in mind can be quite common but also something that other people might also want to ask. How did Harrison become that tall and genius? Why did he decide to do what he did to take himself to a jail? If Harrison is that smart, then what is going on for Hazel? Also, most importantly, why did the author try to use these facts into the plot?      "Harrison Bergeron" explains deeply about the "equality". P
